And The Best Oscar Speech Goes To…

The 87th annual Academy Awards show is now in the history books.

It’s always so much fun to watch this award show. Some people watch the Academy Awards to catch a glimpse of their favorite movie stars. Some watch to see who’s wearing which gown or tuxedo. And some people watch because they are actually curious to see who won.

I, of course, watch the Academy Award show for the speeches. Watch (or watch again) a few of last night’s very best.

J.K. Simmons, who won the Best Supporting Actor award, reminded us all to call our parents.

Patricia Arquette, who won the Best Supporting Actress award, urged wage equality and equal rights for American women.

Graham Moore, winner of the Best Adapted Screenplay, implored us to “stay weird, stay different.”

And John Legend and Common, winners of the Best Original Song, told us, with passion, to “march on.”
